Florida Poker Rooms Reopen to New Normal

Florida is trying to get back to some relative normality following the state-wide closure of non-essential businesses due to the pandemic. Poker rooms around the state have started to resume operations. However, with that said, poker players can head to their favorite venue because they should now be prepared for a dissimilar experience than what they are used to. Poker room owners have adopted strict guidelines to ease the risk that the reopening of properties involves a worldwide health emergency.

Players are required to wear face masks when at the poker tables or anywhere around the gambling facilities. Every individual poker room around Florida resuming operations issued its own “new normal” rules, nonetheless, these do not differ that much from one property to the next.

Florida poker rooms require players to wear face masks when at the facilities. gamblers will also get checked for temperatures before given access to the gambling venues. Any patron that shows coronavirus symptoms won’t be allowed to enter Florida’s poker rooms.


Recurrent Sanitization and Social Distancing

Florida’s poker rooms are encouraging players to practice social distancing. At some of the amenities, plexiglass dividers are used at the tables to ensure players are protected from being exposed to the virus. The state’s poker rooms informed players that they installed hand sanitizer stations through the facilities.

The poker room at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa and Bestbet Jacksonville are among Florida’s first poker facilities to reopen its doors. The Hard Rock gaming venue in Tampa recommenced operations, while the Bestbet poker room in Jacksonville welcomed its first gambler after a two-month pause on Friday.

With about 70 poker tables, Bestbet Jacksonville is the largest poker rooms in Florida. The facility has promised that its staff will “practice social distancing guidelines” to ensure customers’ safety.
